Can I retrieve files from WWW and the archive sites? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Welcome to rec.scouting and to this FAQ file Welcome to rec.scouting, the newsgroup for boy and girl scouts and guides, cub scouts, venturers, rovers, scout leaders and all people interested in scouting and guiding, worldwide. In this group, we discuss issues relevant to scouting activities, and the administration of scout units, sollicit advice from other netters on what to do in certain situations, and generally seek and provide support and encouragement with respect to scouting. This is a group intended for both scouts/guides and leaders. Although postings from leaders predominate, scouts and cub scout groups are encouraged to use this group to exchange ideas and to set up a contact with other groups in other places around the world. This document introduces new readers to the prefered Etiquette for rec.scouting and to the compilation of files of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). It also contains references to other scouting-related information resources on the Internet. If you have a useful item that hasn't been included in this FAQ, please do all of us the favour. Write it up and post it on rec.scouting. Drop me a copy too to make sure that I include it in this file. This file is in digested format, like all rec.scouting FAQ files. If you're using nn as newsreader, type 'G %" to split the digest into individual postings. In bn or rn, typing control-G should cause the reader to skip to the next posting within this file. As the FAQ files are updated regularly, make sure that you have the latest copy in your hands. The release date of this FAQ is indicated in the line starting with "Last-Modified:" at the top of this file. Files older than three months should be considered as outdated. This file or parts of it may be freely used, printed and re-distributed as long as you enclose this paragraph and keep the references to the respective contributors and to the maintainer (listed below) intact. -- Danny "Spike" Schwendener dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch Wolfsmeute Orion/Glockenhof, Sihlstr. 33, CH-8001 Zurich, Switzerland rec.scouting FAQ coordinator and ftp.ethz.ch scout archive maintainer ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Etiquette Guidelines *** ETIQUETTE GUIDELINES *** Most of the guidelines here are taken from news.announce.newusers. However, they bear repeating from time to time. o Please do not "flame" (insult) anyone in this newsgroup. Flames belong in private mail. Discussions will naturally bring disagreements, however, rebuttals should always be made in a rational, logical and mature manner in public. o rec.scouting has a strong worldwide scope. Many readers are outside of your country and will not understand terms which are proper to your own scouting organization. Please keep this in mind when setting up an article or a reply and include some basic background information so that everyone can understand. o English is not the one and only allowed language on rec.scouting; however, it is the most widely understood. So if you're posting a message in another language, be kind enough to add a short abstract of its content at the beginning. o Please limit the amount of material included from previous postings as much as possible, and try to be concise. However, make sure that you include enough of the original post so as to make your follow-up sensible. o Please re-edit your Subject and Newsgroup lines before sending a follow-up. Replies in the third round rarely have a direct relation to the original subject. o The rec.* hierarchy is widely available on most hosts carrying Usenet. Messages posted in these newsgroups stay visible for a fairly long period (usually 14-30 days). To prevent disk overflows, post scouting-related GIFs and other pictures on alt.pictures.* (or upload them to ftp.imp.ch or pluto.utdallas.edu) and post a notice on rec.scouting. o As a courtesy to all rec.scouting subscribers, please include the characters "3Gs" in the Subject line of any posting that discusses the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) membership policies regarding homosexuality, belief in God, and boy-only membership in Tiger Cubs, Cub Scout Packs, and Boy Scout Troops. This includes editing "3Gs" into the subject line of any article to which you're replying in case the original poster didn't observe this convention. o The bottom line: post intelligently, and make this newsgroup worthwile to read through. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: What are the rec.scouting FAQ files and where can I find them? Rec.scouting has a compendium of answers to frequently asked questions. As for all FAQ files, the idea is to free Usenet from cyclic issues and give room to new topics. The answers have been grouped into different files according to their topic. There are currently ten FAQ files available, with more in preparation: #0 : Introduction to Rec.Scouting and to the FAQ files (this file) #1 : Skits, Yells & Creative Campfires #2 : Scouting around the World #3 : Games (split into three parts for size reasons) #4 : Unit Administration #5 : Silk Screen Techniques #6 : Cub Scout Leader Hints #7 : Fund Raising Ideas #8 : BSA/GSUSA official policies (gays in scouting) #9 : Scouting on the World Wide Web (WWW) The FAQ files are posted in regular intervals (one file every three or four days) on rec.scouting, rec.answers and news.answers. They are also available via anonymous ftp from ftp.ethz.ch (user name 'anonymous', your internet address as password) in the directory: ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/ . If you are using the World Wide Web (aka WWW, W3, lynx, Mosaic), you can reach a WWW-formatted version of the FAQ series via the URL http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/hypertext/faq/usenet/scouting/top.html The conversion from the original plain-text format to the HTML format used in the World Wide Web is done automatically with a perl program on cis.ohio-state.edu. Since this program has to make some generalized assumptions, the resulting Web pages may look a bit odd sometimes. If this is the case, let me know, and I'll see if I can change it. Users with no networked access to the Internet (such as UUCP sites) can use the same procedure to get the individual FAQ files by sending an E-mail to the address mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu containing the line: send usenet/news.answers/scouting/index in the message body to get a list of the available rec.scouting FAQ files and send usenet/news.answers/scouting/faq_file_name (where faq_name is the name of the FAQ you want to get) to retrieve an individual FAQ file. If you think that an important topic has not been covered by the current FAQ series yet, please let me know. IMPORTANT: As the FAQ files are updated regularly, make sure that you have the latest copy in your hands. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: rec.scouting readership statistics As of April 1 1995, rec.scouting has an estimated readership of 31000 users worldwide. For more information, read the USENET Readership report published monthly on news.lists by the DEC Network Systems Laboratory. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Can I post messages to rec.scouting without access to Usenet? Yes. All E-mail sent to rec-scouting@cs.utexas.edu is gatewayed to rec.scouting. However, this is a one-way path only. To read messages posted on rec.scouting, you need to have access to a machine which carries Usenet. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Can I receive the rec.scouting messages through E-mail? No. Very few Usenet newsgroups are tied to a mailing list. Rec.scouting isn't one of them. It isn't a technical problem - it is very easy to set up such a gateway. But it is a political issue. Usenet newsgroups are here to avoid the costs of mailing lists. Besides, rec.scouting has a high traffic -- up to 100 messages per day. Check your local BBS'es or ask the computing services of your local campus for an account with access to Usenet. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Are there archive sites for scouting-related files? Date: 27 July 95 NOTE: The site references in this article are formatted in a way to allow them to be recognized as hyperlinks in the HTML versions stored on www.cis.ohio-state.edu (see the previous article), while still being easily understandable for human readers, or at least I hope so. Just to be on the safe side, when I write ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/ I mean the directory /rec.scouting/ on the FTP server ftp.ethz.ch. A. FTP.ETHZ.CH FTP.IMP.CH ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/ is the official home site for the rec.scouting FAQ files. You'll always find the newest versions here, often even before they get posted to rec.scouting. This archive also contains over 500 files related to scouting -- hints, history information, how-to's, stories, recipes, songs, information about major scouting events, etc. The clip-art directory is kept small due to ftp.ethz.ch's site policy. ftp.imp.ch:/scouting/ is a mirror site of the scouting archives at ftp.ethz.ch. In addition to the files from ftp.ethz.ch, it has a directory with scouting-related clip art (ftp.imp.ch:/scouting/pictures/) As an alternative to FTP, you can use gopher to access ftp.ethz.ch by using the following command on your local machine: gopher gopher.ethz.ch Internaut scouts using the WorldWide Web can use one of the following URLs to access the site: gopher://gopher.ethz.ch:1070/11/rec.scouting/ ftp://ftp.ethz.ch/rec.scouting/ B. PLUTO.UTDALLAS.EDU pluto.utdallas.edu:/scouting/ hosts a large collection of scouting clip art, along with demo versions of the SCOUTMATE and CUBMATE troop support software and several scouting-related text files. Note that since pluto is running a non-standard FTP server, programs with graphical user interfaces such as Netscape, Mosaic, Anarchie or Fetch will not be able to access this site. C. TCUBVM.IS.TCU.EDU This site has the BSA clipart files on-line in PC (*.pcx) and Macintosh TIFF (*.tif) formats. There is also a large collection of non-BSA Scouting related clipart in .pcx and PICT, for PC and Mac respectively, as well as many scouting files from the SCOUTS-L reader community. The PC files are ZIP'ed and the Mac files are stuffed. Note that this isn't an FTP site. All accesses to this archive are done through E-mail. To get started with this site, send e-mail to listserv@tcubvm.is.tcu.edu with index scouts-l help in the message body. D. FTP.CTS.COM This is the home repository for the Scout-Girls-L mailing list. In addition to an archive of the discussions on this list, this site has a collection of related information files and programs in the directory ftp.cts.com:/pub/mikey/. E. OTHER ARCHIVE SITES For people who are out looking for scouting-related graphics: There are a couple of scout-lilys at ftp.itc.univie.ac.at:/pub/scout/ Note that this site hasn't been updated in the last two years. The info-mac FTP archives at sumex-aim.stanford.edu carry a couple of scouting-related graphics. Nic.switch.ch:/mirror/info-mac/ is a site in Europe which among others mirrors the contents of the info-mac archives. seton.cor.net:/pub/scouts/ has a few dozen files related to scouting. Alistair Honeybun has saved a few files of interest to the australian scout leaders at scorpion.cowan.edu.au:pub/varia/scouts ftp.netcom.com:/pub/jn/jnelson/cubs has cub-scout related clip-art which isn't carried by pluto.utdallas.edu. The latest version of the BSA-related troop management software ScoutWare can be retrieved from ftp://ftp.us.net/pub/scout/ ftp.cam.org:/users/malak has a couple of files of interest for cub scout leaders. ftp://ftp.best.com/u3/pub/hendra/MSW51 contains text and PICT files oriented toward Scouting with Macintosh computers. Most files are in MS-Word 5.1 format. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Are there scouting-related mailing lists? Yes, there are at least half a dozen on the Internet, most of which cover a specific organization, geographical area or aspect in scouting, and they have various levels of activity -- you'll have to find out by yourself, as I haven't checked out most of them. Mailing lists have the advantage over newsgroups such as rec.scouting or scouting areas on CompuServe that it is very easy to set one up and since it is theoretically possible to throw someone out of the list or deny him further access, people are more disciplined and flame wars are less likely to happen. The disadvantage is that all messages are sent to your E-mail address, so if you're subscribing to too many lists, your E-mail load will be too high for you to handle. Fortunately, it is very easy to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to mailing lists. Here are the scouting-related mailing lists I know of. Let me know if there are others. A. SCOUTS-L From the info sheet: SCOUTS-L: This list will provide an opportunity for members of youth groups world-wide to interact, compare notes on their programs, discuss organizational problems, and communicate with members in distant units. The groups discussed may include, but will not be limited to the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys' and Girls' Clubs, etc. Although the mailing list's charter has no geographical or organizational restrictions, the messages on SCOUTS-L have been mainly oriented on topics specific to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) for the past few years. Many subscribers to this list are working at the BSA council and district levels, so if you have questions on BSA/GSUSA-internals, SCOUTS-L is an excellent choice. To subscribe to this list, send a mail to LISTSERV@TCUBVM.IS.TCU.EDU and put the following line in the mail body (replace your_full_name by your own name): SUBSCRIBE SCOUTS-L your_full_name To post a message on the list, send it to SCOUTS-L@TCUBVM.IS.TCU.EDU. You don't need to be a subscriber of the list to send a message to it. B. APO-L From the info sheet: APO-L: For Alpha Phi Omega, a service oriented fraternity which has chapters on many campuses world-wide. The list will provide an opportunity for members to interact, compare notes on their chapters, learn organizational problems and communicate with members at distant chapters. To subscribe to this list, send a mail to LISTSERV@PURCCVM.BITNET containing the following text (replace your_real_name by your own name): SUBSCRIBE APO-L your_full_name To get a list of APO Chapters, send a mail to the same address and put one of the following lines in the mail body to get a list sorted respectively by local chapter, by state or by university: GET APO-L BYCHAP GET APO-L BYSTATE GET APO-L BYUNIV To post a message on the list, send it to APO-L@PURCCVM.BITNET. You don't need to be a subscriber of the list to send a message to it. C. SCOUTING-EUROPE SCOUTING-EUROPE is a mailing list dedicated to scouting in Europe. The list is open to anyone (both inside and outside of Europe). To subscribe to this list, send a mail to LISTPROC@IFIPC01.UNI-MUENSTER.DE and put the following line in the mail body (replace your_full_name by your own first and last name): subscribe scouting-europe FIRSTNAME LASTNAME D. PFADI-LISTE Es gibt eine deutsche Mailingliste fuer PfadfinderInnen. Diese Liste ist offen fuer alle, die sich dem Pfadfindertum zugehoerig fuehlen, an aktuellen Informationen, Diskussionen, etc. zu allen Themen der Pfadfinderei interessiert sind und ueber den "Tellerrand" des eigenen Verbandes schauen moechten. EXPLORERNET ExplorerNet is an informal discussion group for Exploring and Venture units (and their individual members) worldwide who have a special interest in computing and information technology. There are no restrictions and everyone is welcome, though the group will be of primary interest to Exploring-age and Venture Scout-age young people and their advisers/leaders. ExplorerNet will be of interest if you, or your post or unit has a specialty in computing and information technology. Also, if you are looking for computing related activities for a troop or pack meeting. To subscribe, (and, to request address changes or deletions), send an E-mail stating your desire to: explorer-net-request@erd.rl.af.mil Note that the list maintainer is a human being (and a volunteer) so it may take a few days for your address to be activated. Be patient. F. SCOUT-GIRLS-L From the info sheet: This Mailing list was created on October 7, 1994 and is intended to allow persons interested in Girl Scouting and Girl Guides a common communication channel outside of the normal rec.scouting Usenet newsgroup. The messages are distributed once a day in form of a digest. To subscribe to this list, send a mail to SERVER@SLIC.CTS.COM and put the following line in the mail body (replace your_full_name by your own first and last name): subscribe scout-girls-l your_full_name G. WORLD JAMBOREE MAILING LIST The list is intended for scouts and leaders alike. The list doesn't have any limited subject so anything somehow connected to the Jamboree is accepted. The language of the list is English. To subscribe to the list send mail to Tuomas M. Toivonen - the list maintainer - . In your message include your name and email address with some information about your scouting background and your role in the World Jamboree. H. ARROW-L ARROW-L is a private discussion list for members of the Order of the Arrow in the Boy Scouts of America. It is only open to BSA members who provide evidence of membership in the Order. To subscribe to this list, send a mail to listserv@indycms.iupui.edu and put the following line in the mail body (replace your_full_name by your own first and last name): subscribe arrow-l your_full_name I. SCOUTS-NL SCOUTS-NL is a mailing list for members and friends of Scouting Nederland. Although leaders will probably form the majority, youth members are also encouraged to participate. To subscribe to this list, send a mail to listserv@nic.surfnet.nl and put the following line in the mail body (replace your_full_name by your own first and last name): subscribe scouts-nl your_full_name ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: World Wide Web (WWW) Scouting Pages See rec.scouting FAQ #9 (scouting/9_scouting-on-the-www). The FAQ can be retrieved through anonymous FTP from ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/faq/ and on Usenet in the newsgroups rec.scouting and *.answers. Those who want a hint right away, here's one: David Jansen's InterNETional Scouting page at http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~jansen/scout.html points to most available scouting resources on the web. People without a WWW client can retrieve the page by sending a message to listserv@info.cern.ch containing the following text: send http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~jansen/scout.html Another starting page worth trying comes from Arne Jorgensen: http://www.daimi.aau.dk/~arne/ScoutLinks.html The InterNETional page is organized into a hierarchical structure of pages, which is useful when you're browsing online, while the ScoutLinks page is a summary list of all known scouting resources on one page (hence ideal for for printing out). ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: ScoutNet - The Fidonet dedicated to scouting ScoutNet is a network of Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) based on Fidonet- Technology Network dedicated to Scouting and Guiding across the World. It offers a cheap and easy alternative to a direct Internet, CompuServ or an other international network access. In addition to local, national and international scouting discussion boards and file areas, all ScoutNet BBS'es also provide access to rec.scouting, mailing-lists and E-mail access to the Internet (and back) and to FidoNet. The network currently has outlets in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada and Argentina. The Global ScoutNet offers more than 30 discussion boards and more than 20 file areas. For more information, contact one of the following network coordinators: dsaxer@scoutbox.chnet.ch (Daniel Saxer - questions on Internet/WWW/Gateways) map@scoutbox.chnet.ch (Peter de Hilster - general questions) dave_tracewell@scoutbox.chnet.ch (Dave Tracewell - contact for the american continent) or check their WWW page at: http://chnet.ch/~scout/scoutnet.html ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: FreeNet Scouting Areas in Finland, USA The Cleveland Freenet has an discussion area dedicated to Scouting. To access the Cleveland Freenet, telnet to: freenet-in-a.cwru.edu or freenet-in-b.cwru.edu Then at the 'Your Choice ====>' prompt, type: Your Choice ====> Go Scouts The Finland Freenet also has a scouting area. To access it, telnet to: freenet.hut.fi Unfortunately, the English language only covers some main menus, but for example in the Community Center, choose 2 (harrastukset) for hobbies, and then Partiokolo Lohenpdd (Scout Meeting Place Salmon Head) for Scouting. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Scouting related bulletin boards Steve Souza maintains a list of BBS that are located in the USA and which carry scouting-related information. A current version of this file is stored on ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/pointers/scoutbbs-list Note that most if not all of these BBS cannot be reached interactively through the Internet - you'll need to call the BBS directly with your modem. If you want to add your BBS to this list, contact Steve at: 76703.633@compuserve.com. ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: More hints on scouting resources on the Internet This FAQ contains pointers to the most important scouting resources which can be reached on the Internet. It is not meant to cover *all* existing resources however. For an enhanced list, check out the WWW pages from Arne Jorgensen and David Jansen (see "World Wide Web (WWW) Scouting Pages" above) or R. Gary Hendra's guide on "Scouting on the Internet", which can be retrieved through ftp from: ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/pointers/scouting-on-the-internet or through the World Wide Web from: http://www.best.com/~hendra/SCT_INET.html ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Is there a scout recipe / scout song collection FAQ? There are lots. The bad news is that due to size limitations, they cannot be made available as (monthly posted) FAQ files. The good news however is that the collections exist, and they are great. Jim Speirs and Lady Dragon's song collections have recently been enhanced by two large files from Neil Savage. On the gourmet side, Mike Audleman's Dutch Oven Cookbook and the two camping recipe collections from Hugh Forward and Andrew Balinsky will satisfy even the most delicate palates. All these files can be retrieved by anonymous ftp from ftp.ethz.ch: recipes can be found in the directory ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/recipes and song texts in ftp.ethz.ch:/rec.scouting/songs . ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Where can I find GIF/clip-art files with scouting themes? the ftp archives at pluto.utdallas.edu, the mail server at tcubvm.is.tcu.edu and the ftp site at ftp.imp.ch are three premium choices for this. Some other sites have been noted in this FAQ. See the previous articles on scouting-related archive sites for more details on accessing them. In addition, many Scouting-related World Wide Web pages are, in their nature of combined text and graphic documents, good (albeit disparate) resources for scouting-related photographs and graphics. ------------------------------ From: mr@datcon.co.uk (Martin Richards), P.J.Cowley@herts.ac.uk (Peter Cowley) Subject: Where is Gilwell Park and what is the best way to get to it ? Date: Thu, 21 Jul 1994 12:30:22 GMT Gilwell is on the North East edge of London, just inside the M25 motorway (that's the motorway ring road running (crawling?) round london. If you have a road atlas or any other map, look at the North edge of London for Enfield (where I am!) then east from there you should see Chingford and Epping. Gilwell Park is between these two towns. By train/foot: Main Line train to Chingford. Out of Chingford Station, turn Right, to open land at end of shops, turn left on road accross common land, passed Golf Course, continue for 2 miles accross the common land & woods, Gillwell Park on the left. (Gilwell signposted once on common) ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: What are FTP, WWW and Gopher? Where can I find help on them? Date: Thu, 21 Jul 1994 12:30:22 GMT FTP is a way of copying files between networked computers. If you need help in using or getting started with FTP, send e-mail to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu with send usenet/news.answers/ftp-list/faq in the message body. Gopher is a way of accessing a growing number of databases and archive sites on the internet. Historically, it is the precursor of the World Wide Web. If you need help in using or getting started with gopher, send e-mail to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu with send usenet/news.answers/gopher-faq in the message body. WWW, aka the World Wide Web is the result of an effort to provide an access to the major resource kinds on the Internet through one common, user-friendly interface. It presents itself as a loosely linked collection of several hundred thousand hypertext pages containing formatted text, graphics, sound, movies and more. If you need help in using or getting started with gopher, send e-mail to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu with send usenet/news.answers/www/faq/part1 send usenet/news.answers/www/faq/part2 in the message body. The whole rec.scouting FAQ #9 is dedicated to questions around the World Wide Web. Check it out! ------------------------------ From: dannys@iis.ee.ethz.ch (Danny Schwendener) Subject: Can I retrieve files from the archive sites and WWW through E-mail? Date: Sun, 23 Jul 1995 Yes. First of all, one of the main scouting archives on the net, TCUBVM.IS.TCU.EDU, can only be accessed through E-mail. See the article on archive sites in this FAQ for more information on accessing this site. As for the FTP archives, it is possible to access them, but it won't be as easy as for someone who has full access to the Internet: There are several E-mail servers on the Internet which will retrieve files from FTP archives and WWW sites for you and send them to you through E-mail. The catch is that you have to send them a whole script which tells them step-by-step what to do. A few of these E-mail servers are: BITFTP@vm.gmd.de BITFTP@DEARN (Bitnet) ftpmail@ftp.uni-stuttgart.de ftpmail@src.doc.ic.ac.uk Choose one, and send a mail containing the command help in the message body. The server will send you an instruction sheet with the available script commands. As an example, the following script, sent to ftpmail@src.doc.ic.ac.uk will instruct it to connect to ftp.ethz.ch, list the current contents of the directory /rec.scouting/skits-campfires, get the latest release of this FAQ, and return you all the selections as separate E-mail messages. open ftp.ethz.ch cd rec.scouting/skits-campfires get 00readme.txt dir quit As for WWW, The CERN has set up a WWW page re-mailer for E-mail users. To learn more about it, send a help request (see a few lines above) to agora@www10.w3.org Note that at the time of this writing, agora was announced to be down for a undefinite period. Rec.scouting FAQ #9, which is dedicated to scouting on the WWW, has a few alternative ideas to try out. ------------------------------ End of rec.scouting FAQ #0 **************************
