Hi, I've been planning this sort of activity for the last month!
I've made a schedule of IRC sessions during the jamboree (I will be there as
staff). There is also a radio station, will post more info in the next few
days).


'Final' schedule of the IRC-sessions during the world jamboree.

If the IRC sessions are a big succes, more sessions will be held at 9.30
GMT. Also, in the period 28-6 till 2-8 there will be some IRC try-outs by
the staff, to test soft- & hardware. The times of these try-outs are yet
unknown.

The channel used will be #scouting (Offcourse!).

As there is only 1 terminal at the computer center connected to the
internet, participants will be online for short periods of about 10 to 15
minutes.


Talking to people you know
--------------------------
If you know someone who goes to the jamboree and want to talk to him/her on
IRC, this is possible. It has to be done during the times I mentioned in
the schedule. To make sure he/she gets time at the terminal, the
boy/girl should ask me (Edwin van der Elst) BEFORE the IRC meeting. I'll be
wearing a name-tag.


Jamboree Homepage

During the jamboree, there will be a special homepage with pictures from the
participants who are on IRC, as well as general pictures from the jamboree.
The URL of the homepage is yet unknown. I will post this on rec.scouting,
and directly to you when I know it. (Probably the week before the
jamboree).
