Subject: Visitors information for the World Jamboree'95 Summary: This is the official visitors information, covering transport to the site, accomodation, opening hours and (very shortly) the program. For those of you who want to visit the World Jamboree: Below is the official visitors information. There is an attractive programme offered each day where visitors can participate in several activities. A visitors festival and arena show is on every day at the main arena in the afternoon. Visit the World Jamboree The World Jamboree is open for day visitors from 3 to 9 August (inclusive) from 10 to 17 hours. (10 am to 5 pm) Due to the large number of visitors anticipated, tickets will be sold in advance and visits are limited to one day. The World Jamboree takes place at Dronten, in the Province of Flevoland. In the area there will be ample signs indicating the way. Parking is situated some distance from the site, and there will be shuttle service to the main entrance. Pets are not allowed. Entry tickets are available from April onwards. The price for tickets purchased in advance is: Adults: NLG 20; youths up to and including 17 years of age NLG 12.50; children up to and including the age of 4 are admitted free of charge. There is a booking cost of NLG 3 per ticket. The number of tickets for each day is limited, and they may not be available at the gate. We advise visitors to buy tickets in advance. (Major credit cards are accepted.) Public transport: Direct train connections from Amsterdam Central Station and from Schiphol Airport railway station will take you to Lelystad. From there, take the special Jamboree bus service to the site. Alternative: travel to Harderwijk railway station (from Amsterdam via Hilversum and Amersfoort). Board the Jamboree bus there. If you want to do it the Dutch way, rent a bicycle at Harderwijk station for a day and cycle to the site (about 15 km, 1 hour). Accomodation: Please be advised that all accomodation like camp sites and hotels anywhere near the site is fully booked by now. If you need accomodation, ask for assistance at the same address as above. Cyberspace visit: There is a limited possibility to take part in IRC sessions with Jamboree participants.
