TOP 10 EVENTS AT '89 JAMBO THAT YOU DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT FROM ANY OFFICIALLY 
RECOGNIZED MEDIA SOURCE

10.  Steven Spielberg plays lawn darts with Ben Love and Ollie North; two life 
scouts from Maryland are injured when they just happen to be at the
wrong place on the Adventure Course at the wrong time.
9.  Despite a last minute plea, Jamboree officials deny the Rolling
Stones a spot on the final concert event, claiming that the Jets had
had the spot booked for weeks.
8.  Clarence P. Ledbetter, of Valdosta, Georgia, earns a record 60
merit badges, including Filmmaking, Golf and Indian Lore.
7.  THERE WAS NO LUCKY CHIEF OKEMOS COUNCIL O.A. STRIP.  IT WAS JUST A SICK 
RUMOR.
6.  Several scouts actually claimed to get on the Adventure Course (i forget
the exact name--darnit) with a 15 minute wait in line or less.
5.  Julius Erving belts out an impromptu rendition of "Anarchy in the U.K."
while on the small stage, as a request from a JASM from Massachusetts.
4.  It wasn't really beef stroganoff; it was soy tofu bake with noodles.
3.  Sen. Bill Bradley, on a dare, sinks 20 straight 30-foot shots on
the basketball court; as a result he earns a tryout with the New Jersey
Nets.
2.  A sad incident; despite being advised to the contrary, Williard
Scott pays no attention, and instead makes Pocatello his Pick City of
the day when he visits the Jamboree.
1.  The Camp-wide game was actually a plot by DEA and ATF to thwart
alleged drug smugglers.
