READY GUIDE LINES


The READY Network is being created by young people as part of an
iniciative of WOSM (World Organization of Scout Movement). Its adressed
to young people, scout young people specificly, and has its specifics
rules to be a sucessful project. Every participant must follow this
rules straight.



OBJECTIVES

- To encourage iniciatives for the environmental and community action
from young people by listening to their expressed needs and facilitating
their plans of action...making things possible, showing the way.

- To mobilize the many scout young people for concrete and local
community involvement in the improvement of the quality of
life...establishing whats necessary

- To refocus the notion of a learning community of adults and young
people working together in a partnership of enthusiasm and
experience...showing every advantage you can get


PARTICIPANTS

Young scouts around the whole world... Scouts who are involved in their
communities and would like to share with others scouts their ideas,
experiences and projects dealing with issues like environment, world,
culture, health, humanity, future and human relations (society)...
People that wants to make the difference with spirit of mutual
understanding..(The different aspects of the discussions/ projects that
are posted accept cultural, moral and religious points of view.) .

Just remember please this list is not for main discussions of little
aspects of scouting...The main purpose is to be a space of action on
projects, ideas and suggestions that will help other scout exactly like
you  to reach the improvement of our world somewhere...To discuss
philosophical points of view at the same subject, towards benefits of
all involved. To help.

financing projects in  the "Acting Locally Kit".


MATERIALS

Everybody can download the educational materials posted by READY
Network...You can post your ideas for action and other materials on the
READY Archives, however, that needs an authorization of the READY
Coordinator..

PROJECTS

Scouts who are members of a Scout Association recognized by WOSM can
create a project and post it on READY. So you can an interactive project
through this network. All scouts are recommended to check the rules of
their National Scout Association before posting a project and
becoming/having a partner from another national or international group!

A kit is available for scouts who are planning or carrying out a
project...The document is called Acting Globally Kit. This kit is a
guide to:

- help yourself in the planning/execution of your project

- indicate how and what you should do to post/update that on READY.

Requests for money are NOT accepted on READY. More details about that at
the Acting Globally Kit .

The READY Network accepts scout projects if they are consistent with the
aims of scouting, goals and structures of this network.


We expect you can find new excellent friends on  READY list, helping
them and being helped for them.
